Breve explicação
Clayton Christensen, um dos grandes pensadores da inovação, identificou o “Dilema da Inovação”, destacando que muitas organizações, desenhadas para maximizar eficiência, mitigar riscos e atingir resultados previsíveis, acabam criando barreiras à inovação. Uma dessas barreiras está justamente nos modelos tradicionais de incentivo e remuneração dos colaboradores.
Quando executivos têm sua remuneração variável atrelada exclusivamente a metas de curto prazo, como faturamento anual da sua unidade de negócio, eles tendem a evitar iniciativas inovadoras devido à incerteza e ao risco associado, potencialmente prejudicando seu bônus.
Empresas com alto grau de maturidade em inovação reconhecem essa limitação e, além de outros mecanismos de incentivo (ver prática “modelo de reconhecimento”), estabelecem políticas específicas de remuneração variável ligadas a esforços e resultados em inovação. Isso estimula os colaboradores a se engajarem ativamente em projetos inovadores, equilibrando objetivos de curto e longo prazo, e promovendo um ambiente organizacional propício à inovação constante.
